Childcare in Sunderland - What are your views?

Children enjoying nursery

The Sunderland Childcare Sufficiency Assessment is a compulsory duty that the Childcare Act 2006 places on local authorities. The assessment is carried out to look at what childcare parents living in the city need, what they think of it and if there is enough.

We would like parents and carers to give us their comments and opinions on the findings of the assessment.

We will be asking for comments and opinions about the assessment from Monday 31 January 2011 to Friday 18 February 2011. Your views are really important and will help us decide how to plan new services for you and your children.

To take part in the consultation, please complete the short on-line survey by clicking the link below and going to ‘Childcare Sufficiency Assessment 2011 consultation’.

The final report will be published on the 31 March 2011.
